Who Can Apply
Athletic Participation Requirements
- To be considered, you must be an active participant in your high school’s boys or girls basketball program during your senior year. This includes students serving as a team member or a team manager.
Financial Eligibility and Documentation
- The Foundation determines financial need from your completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- We encourage you to seek other sources of funding. Receiving other financial aid does not disqualify you.
Educational Standards and Enrollment
- Applicants must be seniors graduating from a Wisconsin-based high school, public or private.
- Recipients attend a University of Wisconsin System institution as a full-time student, with at least 12 credits per semester, in a four-year degree program.
- To remain eligible for renewal, students must keep meeting the original award criteria and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher throughout their undergraduate studies.
Administrative and Application Procedures
- Applicants must be legal residents of the state of Wisconsin.
- You need a unique student identification number issued by the University of Wisconsin System institution(s) you are applying to.
- Your profile must be fully updated to reach the mandatory threshold of 100 points.
- A completed FAFSA must be on file with the Foundation to confirm your financial status.
- Apply through our online portal between February 1 and April 30 of your senior year.
To Renew Each Year
The scholarship is renewable up to $40,000 while you keep meeting the original award criteria.
