The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation was established on the belief that the commitment, discipline, perseverance, and teamwork developed through high school basketball provide a strong foundation for future achievement. Whether as athletes or managers, students who dedicate themselves to their programs demonstrate the character, work ethic, and leadership qualities that contribute to success both in the classroom and beyond.

Since 2013, the Foundation has worked to make higher education more accessible for Wisconsin students by helping reduce the financial barriers to earning a degree within the University of Wisconsin System. Through renewable scholarships, the Foundation supports recipients throughout their undergraduate careers, helping them pursue their educational goals with confidence.

To date, the Foundation has invested more than $30 million in scholarships benefiting more than 800 students across Wisconsin. By investing in students who exemplify dedication, leadership, and excellence, the Foundation continues to honor the legacy of Ab Nicholas while creating opportunities for future generations to succeed.

The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation accepts applications from qualifying seniors each year between February 1 and April 30. Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than June 30th at the email address on file.
